How to Reserve a Kid
You can reserve a kid by filling out the form above clicking the “Reservations” button found on the “Breeding Plans” page and throughout other pages on our website. You can also email or direct message on our Facebook Page (best).
We will try to respond to requested reservations within 24 hours, however there could be times where a response may be delayed due to busy schedules. Please be patient with us as we work through reservations!
Deposit Policy
Once a kid is born, we will notify the first person on the list for that breeding. Responses must be made within 24 hours of a kid being born or we will move onto the next person on the list. Please ensure that your contact information is accurate and up to date so that we can reach you.
If you decide to take a kid, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours to hold the kid until weaning.
We reserve the right to retain any kid from any breeding. We also reserve the right to change the price of a kid once they are born pending evaluation of the dam's udder and the structure of the kid. Any changes will be immediately communicated to all potential buyers.
If in the unfortunate circumstance that a kid becomes ill or does not survive, a deposit can be refunded or used towards the purchase of another kid at any time. This is the only situation in which a deposit will be refunded.
Important Notes
If your reservation is not fulfilled, you must contact us if you want to be on the list for the following year. Keep in mind we may breed the doe to a different buck the following year.
We reserve the right to wether a buckling if we do not see him fit to be a herdsire, regardless of if there is a reservation.
There may be rare instances where we prefer to sell a kid to a performance home. This is one of the only instances in which we may not follow the order of reservation on a breeding. Please understand that we are a performance herd and it is important to us that some of our kids make it into the show ring.
Picking up your kid
Dam-raised kids will be ready to be picked up at around 12 weeks old depending on the animal. We ensure that kids are ready to be on their own before leaving to their new homes. Once a kid is weaned they must be picked up within 1 week. It is important that kids get weaned and picked up in a timely manner as it is an extremely busy time of the year.
Bottle-raised kids will be ready to be picked up after disbudding and an appropriate healing time, generally 2 weeks, if picked up before 4 weeks of age buyer will be responsible for tattooing due to the small nature of Nigerian Dwarf ears. If you choose not to bottle feed we ask that the kid be picked up at 12 weeks of age. Once a kid is weaned they must be picked up within 1 week. It is important that kids get weaned and picked up in a timely manner as it is an extremely busy time of the year.
If you fail to pick up your kid by the pick up window you may forfeit your deposit. Arrangements for extenuating circumstance can be made. At 12 weeks of age we expect the kid to be paid in full and if you cannot pick up or transport your kid by then boarding arrangement can be made.
If transport is being arranged, the buyer is responsible for all fees, testing and health certificates associated with the transport of the kid.
Kids will come with their registration papers, tattooed, disbudded, dewormed and given their CDT vaccination. Wethers will be banded before leaving the property.
We disbud all of our kids. If you do not want your kids disbudded, you must pay for them in full (non-refundable) within 24 hours of being born.
How our kids are raised
We do a combination of dam-raising and bottle feeding. We spend a lot of time with the babies so they are extremely friendly.
If you specifically would like a kid on a bottle do not hesitate to ask us ONLY if you are experienced in bottle feeding.
Health Guarantee
We guarantee that our kids are healthy before they leave our farm. The buyer will sign a sales contract agreeing that the animal is in good health at the time of pick-up. Once the animal leaves our property we are no longer responsible for any injury or illness.
We test our goats for CAE and CL. Interested buyers may request to see our test results at any time. Additional tests can be done at additional cost if desired.
If at any time you are unhappy with an animal or are considering re-selling an animal purchased from us, we ask that you please contact us first to give us the opportunity to buy the animal back.
Adult animals for sale
Sometimes we do sell some of our breeding stock. If you see any goat you are interested in, you're welcome to inquire. If an adult animal is offered for sale, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the animal. Adult animals must be picked up within 2 weeks of deposit.
Payment Methods
We currently accept all major credit cards through Paypal and cash as methods of payment.
